“The Donald” is our fun and eco-friendly pedal boat, available for hire right here at
Captains Cove Resort. Whether you're a couple looking for a scenic adventure or a small family
wanting a gentle cruise, this is the perfect activity to slow down and enjoy the region.
Launch directly from Burrabogie Island at Captains Cove and enjoy a peaceful ride through Paynesville’s
calm canal waters. You’ll pass moored yachts, quiet jetties, and beautiful waterfront homes – with stunning
views towards Lake King (note: open-water paddling is not permitted).
The Donald seats up to 2 adults, or 3 people if the third is a small child. No licence or boating
experience is required, and we provide fitted life jackets and a short safety overview before each hire. It’s perfect
for a relaxing morning cruise or a sunny afternoon adventure with the kids.
This is a low-impact, eco-conscious way to connect with the natural beauty of the Gippsland Lakes and
enjoy some quality time outdoors – all from the calm, protected waters of Paynesville’s inland canals.
